# Methodology

Desk Setup comparisons on this site are assembled from two inputs: manufacturer-published specifications, and prices and stock we track directly from retailer listings.

## How pages are assembled

Spec tables combine manufacturer-published specifications with price and availability history collected directly from retailer listings (Herman Miller, Autonomous, Ergodriven, Rain Design, Sunaofe US). Every comparison is generated from that same dataset: 18 products tracked across 5 retailers in the Desk Setup corpus. Each product page lists every price observation we hold for it — 26 observations in total, each stamped with the date we captured it — plus a "Prices last checked" date. The record is exactly as deep as those dates say it is, and no deeper.

## What we do not do

We have not physically tested these units. Recommendations follow from published specifications and tracked pricing, not hands-on lab testing — and merchants cannot pay for placement in comparisons. Ergonomic claims on this site are reviewed by a registered nurse for ergonomic claims — that review does not extend to product specs or any other claim on this site, and nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or a substitute for consulting a clinician about your own body.
